Memory is a funny thing. You can remember anything, anytime, except when you need to. Anyone can forget a friend's birthday, an important meeting or certain tasks, like calling someone. With Total Reminder, it does not matter what you need to remember. You can use it to create reminders, schedules and anything else which you do not want to forget.

Downloading the setup file should not take too long on an average Internet connection. Although the software is lightweight, the installation process might take longer than expected because you will need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4. If you already have it, you will only need to install Total Reminder, which should only take a few seconds.

Setting up reminders and schedules is not all you can do with Total Reminder. It works as a general purpose organizer, meaning that you can also save contacts, logs and other information. A series of navigation buttons, under the top menus, make it possible to access all the software's features. In the Contacts section of the interface you can insert a person's contact details, including his name, nick, multiple email addresses, web pages, important dates, digital IDs and more. Creating contacts requires clicking an Add button and typing the details in dialog boxes. The created contacts will be listed on the main area of the interface, along with their phone numbers, nicks and email addresses.

The software's other features work the same way. You have to click an add button, on the lower edge of the interface and fill in the forms. Schedules and reminders can be added in the Calendar section, where an actual calendar will be displayed on the main area of the window. To set a reminder, you have to click on a date and click the Add event button beneath the calendar. A window will show up, where you can specify the event type (birthday, anniversary, etc), the reminder's frequency, start or end date and more. All these can be done with simple tools, such as drop menus or check boxes. They are well organized in the settings window, so you can find them easy. Setting up a schedule involves the same kind of settings, but you can also specify a program's .exe file in order to run it automatically. This can be useful for scheduling a disk cleanup or other important tasks.

All the inserted schedules and reminders can also be found on lists, in different sections of the interface. Events such as Christmas, Easter or New Year's day are already inserted into the database. Total Reminder lets you create personal logs as well. Just click an Add button in the Logs section and start typing. You can associate dates with each entry and they will be listed the same way as the contacts. Passwords can also be managed in Total Reminder. The Passwords section is protected with a master password which you can set in the software's general settings panel. When adding a new item, you can specify a user name, a password, a URL and observations. If you are worried that you might forget a password, you can save it here and no one but you will have access to it. Additional tools, such as timer, stopwatch, date calculator, password generator and more can be found in the Tools menu. They will show up on separate windows and using them is a straightforward task.

Pros

Total Reminder is not limited to setting up schedules. You can also use it to create databases with important information. Most of the features work the same way, so you can get used to them in a few minutes.

Cons

The installation process can be slowed down considerably if you do not have MS .NET Framework 4 installed. Due to Total Reminder's user friendly interface and various features, you can set reminders, schedules or store any information worth remembering.
